Hi Dianne,
I've been reading your blog again. Your passage on the note from your Mom has touched me today. I got back from my Aunt Marjory (Reidt) Johnson's graveside service in Massachusetts late on Sunday night. Back to work on Monday. I've enjoyed your messages about faith and grief. I was touched by your message about your Mom's note that Teddy found. I, too, miss my Dad very much. I know that it has been since October 2, 1992 since we lost him, but sometimes it seems like it was yesterday. While I was down in Massachusetts for my Aunt's service, I thought about Dad a great deal. He was her younger brother (only brother) Theodore Reidt. At the graveside was the stone for my grandparents (Reidt's) and the stone that lists my Aunt Majory and Uncle Warren Johnson and my Mom and Dad. Hopefully, it will be a long time until my Mom passes and my Uncle Warren. It was nice to see my cousins even though it was sad circumstances. We have a lot of good memories together and fun family times. It was good to reminisce; wish we all lived closer now. One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:31-39 (NRSV)

What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else? Who will bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written,
     "For your sake we are being
          killed all day long;
     we are accounted as sheep to
          be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This was one of the scriptures that was used in my Aunt's graveside service. Thank you, Dianne for your postings to your log. They have touched my heart. Love, peace, and blessings to you. Joan.

Hi Dianne,
Thank you for your blog. I'm really enjoying reading it. Although I don't click onto it every day, I do click onto it once or twice a week. I especially have enjoyed your message and insights and video about the Women of Faith conference. Thank you for inviting me to go along. You are truly a good friend! By the way, I've never considered Queen Anne's Lace a weed. I know it grows that way in Maine, but have always considered it to be of higher quality and caliber as perhaps fire weed or ragweed. Have a great family reunion this weekend. Peace and love, Joan.

My favorite t-shirt I saw said "the church has left the building". I do believe that says it all. You have to leave the building to share Jesus with others. I am so proud of what you do for your "kids". They see Jesus through you.
